Thomas has been dedicated to the field of education since 2008. Prior to joining ISA, he served as the Assistant Head of School, IBDP Coordinator, Head of English, and history teacher at a renowned IB school in Chengdu.
Thomas has accumulated extensive teaching experience during his past 16-year career and demonstrated exceptional academic and leadership abilities in various significant projects such as curriculum planning and IB authorization.
Thomas has worked closely with several academic organizations, including the IB, the Council of International Schools, the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) to promote the quality of teaching and learning to meet international standards and to enhance exchanges and cooperation between schools.
Bernie Flores

Former head of Music, MYP and DP Music teacher at Keystone Academy in Beijing.
He has 16 years of experience international education, most of which were in IB schools.
His teaching roles include being music director for symphony orchestra, symphony band, jazz ensemble and musicals.
Currently, he serves as a committee member and orchestra coordinator for the International Schools Choral Music Society (ISCMS).
In addition, Bernie is founder and director for non-profit-arts education group, Brass Pilipinas.
Bernie has completed his postgraduate degree in music in Hong Kong Baptist University.

John comes from Wales in the United Kingdom. He has 18 years of teaching experience (Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Maths) including 5 years' experience as Head of Science and A Level Coordinator. He has taught in countries such as the UK, Kenya, Malaysia, Russia and China. He has been a CAlE examiner and ran successful clubs like MUN and World Scholar's Cup.

James Riggs

James has a degree in History & Law from the University of Derby. He is a CELTA holder, who has been teaching in China since 2007. Since 2012, he has been working exclusively with students going to attend university in English speaking countries. He has worked on International Foundation Years and Pre-University Academic English Programs run by providers in the UK and Australia. He is an experienced IELTS speaking and writing teacher.
